The Rochester Honkers Baseball Club announced today that Chatfield, MN native, Andy Wadewitz, has joined the Rochester Honkers front office as the team’s Assistant Director of Operations.  He begins his role on March 1, 2010.

“I’m very excited to start my first season with the Rochester Honkers and put my education to work,” said Wadewitz.  “I can’t wait for the season to start!”

Wadewitz graduated from the University of Miami in 2008 with a B.S.Ed. in Sport Administration and a minor in Business Management.  He spent all four years at Miami working in their intramural department, supervising and training officials as well as overall general operations.  Following graduation, Andy interned with the NHL’s Florida Panthers in the Communications/Public Relations department.  He contributed articles for the Panther’s Insider magazine, assisted in the press box and lockers rooms for player interviews compiled and distributed news articles about the NHL and their minor league affiliates.

Wadewitz graduated from Chatfield (MN) High School in 2004.  He spent the 2006 summer working game days for the Rochester Honkers.  Wadewitz is engaged to be married in 2011 to Michelle Levin from San Anselmo, CA.
