Thunder Bay 4, Alexandria 2
The Thunder Bay Border Cats took the game from Alexandria 4-2 Monday night at Knute Nelson Memorial Park.  The first five innings were scoreless, but the final four saw a combined six runs.  The Beetles took the lead 2-0 in the sixth, but the Border Cats responded with four unanswered.  Two Border Cats collected multi-hit games with P.K. Kitamura (Hawaii) going 2-for-4 and Tyler Wosleger (Fairfield) going 2-for-3 with a run scored.  Alexandria starter, Andy Cox (Iowa Central CC), had a great start throwing 6.2 innings of two run baseball, but took the loss. 

Duluth 7, Brainerd 4
The Duluth Huskies beat the Brainerd Lakes Area Lunkers 7-4.  Casey Lytle (Kansas) was 3-for-5 with two runs scored from the lead-off spot for the Huskies.  Jeff Reynolds (Harvard) was 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run scored.  The Lunkers Levi Ferguson (Indiana State) was 4-for-4 with one run scored.  Sam Briend (Oglethorpe) earned the win for the Huskies throwing 2.0 innings of scoreless baseball. 

Mankato 5, Rochester 3
The Mankato MoonDogs beat the Rochester Honkers 5-3 at Franklin Rogers Park.  The MoonDogs were led by short-stop Trey Ford (South Mountain CC) who was 3-for-4 with one run scored.  MoonDog third basemen Sam Eberle (Jacksonville State) was 2-for-4 with one run scored and one RBI.  Mitch Caster (Wichita State) took the loss for the Honkers going 2.0 innings and giving up four runs. 

St. Cloud 12, Willmar 5
The River Bats plated a season-high in runs and defeated the Willmar Stingers 12-5 in front of more than 1,100 fans at Bill Taunton Stadium in Willmar, Minn.  Kevin Hall (Wichita State) and Mitchell Garver (New Mexico) produced three-hit games as the Bats won their fifth game in six tries. Garver was 3-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and three runs scored.  A Bats win coupled with a Rochester loss at Mankato and St. Cloud now has a one-game cushion in the North division.  Jason Wheeler (LMU) earned the win for the Bats, allowing three runs, two earned, on seven hits over 6.0 innings. The left-hander struck out six and walked just one. His counterpart, Logan Birr (St. Cloud State), got the loss, surrendering six earned runs on 10 hits over 3.2 innings.

Battle Creek 2, Eau Claire 1
Battle Creek and Eau Claire found themselves in a pitcher’s duel Monday night at C.O. Brown Stadium.  James Jones (Louisiana Monroe) threw 7.1 innings for the Bombers giving up four hits and one run to earn the win.  Chris Howard (Tennessee) earned the save throwing 1.2 innings of hitless baseball.  Short-stop Beau Didier (Louisiana State) led the Bombers at the plate going 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI.  Scott Mariner (Central Michigan) was the tough luck loser throwing 2.1 innings and giving up only one run. 

Wisconsin, Wisconsin Rapids
Tonight’s Wisconsin Woodchucks game was suspended due to rain, following the completion of the third inning.  Tonight’s game will be resumed and completed tomorrow night in Stevens Point, with the second game to follow.  The first game will begin at 6:05 with the second beginning half an hour after the first’s completion.

La Crosse, Green Bay
The La Crosse Loggers vs. Green Bay Bullfrogs game for Monday, June 21 has been postponed.  The game will be made up as a double header on Tuesday, June 22 as a double header with the first game starting at 5:05 pm.  Gates will open at 4:00 pm. 

Madison, Waterloo
The Mallards were forced to postpone tonight’s game, due to showers. The game with the Waterloo Bucks will be made up tomorrow as the first half of a double-header. Game one will resume at 5:05 p.m. followed by game two thirty minutes following the end of the first game.
