Jake Tanis (Mercer) had an outstanding game for the Alexandria Beetles Thursday night. Tanis was 4-for-5 against the Mankato MoonDogs and not only scored two runs, but drove in three more. Tanis is currently hitting .400 with 11 RBI in only 40 games for the Beetles. Tanis hit .388 with 22 home runs for the Mercer Bears in 2010. He helped them to a 2010 championship in the Atlantic Sun and was recently drafted in the MLB Draft by the Colorado Rockies in the 26th round.
