Jake Tanis (Mercer) had a four hit night for the Alexandria Beetles Saturday against the Thunder Bay Border Cats. Tanis was 4-for-5 on the night with one run scored and one RBI. Also, two of his hits were doubles. Tanis is currently hitting .360 for the Beetles this season. In 2010 for Mercer, Tanis hit .388 in 62 games with 25 doubles and 22 home runs.
Mark Threlkeld (Louisiana Tech) was 3-for-4 on the night with one run scored and three RBI in the win for the Duluth Huskies.
