Madison 7, Green Bay 6
The Green Bay Bullfrogs out-hit the Madison Mallards, but the Mallards took the game 7-6 on Sunday afternoon.  The Mallards Jacob Esch (Georgia Tech) was 2-for-4 with two RBI.  Both Kyle Gaedele (Valparaiso) and Lucas LeBlanc (Delgado CC) hit home runs this afternoon to help with the run support for Ryan Gorton (Oregon State).  Gorton earned the win in relief after throwing 2.0 innings while giving up two runs.  The Bullfrogs third basemen Joel Hutter (Dallas Baptist) was 3-for-4 with a walk.  Two other Bullfrogs had multi-hit games in Troy Scott (Washington) and Collin Kuhn (Arkansas) who had two hits apiece.  

Wisconsin Rapids 4, La Crosse 3
The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters came from behind to take the La Crosse Loggers 4-3 at Witter Field.  The Rafters Justin Jirschele (Wisconsin Stevens Point) was 3-for-5 with two runs scored to lead the charge.  Jirschele also scored the game’s winning run in walk-off fashion on a sac fly from Ryan Palmero (Santa Barbara).  Matt Johnson (California Baptist), Quinton Perry (Santa Clara) and Michael Smith (North Florida) all had two hits on the afternoon for Wisconsin Rapids.  Steve Godawa (Valparaiso) earned the win in relief throwing the final 2.0 innings without giving up a hit.  Loggers Tony Mueller (Winona State) led the Loggers with a 2-for-3 day with a run scored and a walk. 

Brainerd 2, Duluth 1
The Brainerd Lakes Area Lunkers beat the Duluth Huskies 2-1 Sunday afternoon.  Brainerd’s Vince Bruno (California Berkeley) was 3-for-5 on the night with one run scored and one RBI leading the way for the Lunkers.  Nick Anderson (St. Cloud State) earned the win for the Lunkers throwing 7.0 innings while giving up zero runs.  The Huskies Zeke DeVoss (Miami) was 2-for-4 with one run scored in the loss. 

Thunder Bay 5, Alexandria 4
The Thunder Bay Border Cats used a strong pitching performance from starter Garrett Yount (Rollins) to beat the Alexandria Beetles on Sunday afternoon.  Yount did not earn the win, but threw 7.1 innings of two run baseball.  Zak Miller (New Mexico) earned the win throwing 0.2 innings while Drew Irwin (Nicholls State) earned the save throwing the ninth.  Thunder Bay’s six thru nine hitters all had an RBI on the night.  The Beetles Mikel Alvarez (Florida Gulf Coast) was 2-for-5 on the game with two doubles in the loss. 

Willmar 8, Mankato 7
Willmar used another strong performance from Jordan Smith (St. Cloud State) to earn the win Sunday night against the Mankato MoonDogs.  Willmar took the game 8-7 with Smith’s 2-for-4 day with two runs scored and two RBI.  Andrew Haake (Nebraska Kearney) also had two hits on the night with a run scored and an RBI.  Logan Birr (St. Cloud State) earned the win in relief throwing 5.0 innings out of the bullpen while giving up only one run. 
 
Waterloo 8, Eau Claire 3
Waterloo took on the Eau Claire Express Sunday night and won 8-3 in front of 3,109 fans.  The Bucks Nick Anderson had a huge night at the plate going 2-for-4 with two runs scored and three RBI.  Ryan Rieger (Santa Clara) also had a three hit performance while playing first base.  Zach Cooper (Central Michigan) earned the win throwing 6.0 innings while giving up two runs.
