Duluth 3, Thunder Bay 1

Duluth took game one of the double header by a score of 3-1 at Port Arthur Stadium.  The Huskies left fielder Kyle Roliard (Louisiana Tech) went 1-for-2 on the night with one run scored and two RBI.  Shortstop Barrett Serrato Purdue had two hits on the night and had the other RBI in the game for the Huskies.  Starter Robbie Collier (North Florida) earned the win throwing 2.0 innings while giving up one run.  The Border Cats only had two hits in game one and starter Connor Little (Hawaii) took the loss. 

In game two the Border Cats battled back and won the game 6-5 with a four run fifth inning.  The Border Cats lead-off hitter, Evan Mistich (Panola CC), had a bases clearing triple to go along with a run scored.  The Border Cats used six pitchers in the seven inning game and Drew Erwin (Nicholls State) earned the win throwing the final 2.0 innings.  The Huskies lead-off batter, Zeke DeVoss (Miami), continued his hot hitting with a three hit performance with a run scored.   

Willmar 7, Alexandria 3
The Willmar Stingers brought the bats to Knute Nelson Memorial Park on Monday as they pounded out 13 hits and scored seven runs.  The Stingers Zach Rowles (Minnesota State Mankato) only had one hit, but made sure it was a three RBI double.  He also had two walks and two runs scored.  Andrew Haake (Nebraska Kearney) continued his hot hitting with a three hit performance where he plated three runs.  The Stingers Michael Jahns (Northwestern) threw 3.0 innings in relief to earn the win while only giving up one hit. 

Green Bay 12, Wisconsin 6
The Green Bay Bullfrogs won an 11-inning thriller 12-6 against the Wisconsin Woodchucks on Monday night.  Matthew Kimball (Brown) earned the win while Anthony Drobnick (Washington State) took the loss. 

Madison 7, La Crosse 3
The Mallards used seven runs in the final four innings to come from behind at Copeland Park to beat the La Crosse Loggers 7-3. The Mallards Kyle Gaedele (Valparaiso) hit his fourth homerun of the season which was a three run shot.  Adam Davis (Illinois) was a perfect 3-for-3 on the night.  Ryan Levine (Virginia) also had a great day at the plate with two hits and three RBI.  The Mallards Nick Rice (NC State) earned the win in relief throwing 2.2 innings of one run baseball. 

Wisconsin Rapids, Eau Claire
Heavy rains throughout the day forced the postponement of the game between the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters and Eau Claire Express scheduled to take place in Marshfield Monday.  The game will now be played as part of the first split double-header in franchise history on Saturday July 24, 2010.

Mankato, Brainerd
The MoonDogs’ game against the Lunkers was suspended in the middle of the second inning at Franklin Rogers Park.  The Dogs’ will resume the game tomorrow night at 5:30 p.m. at Franklin Rogers Park against the Brainerd Lakes Area Lunkers.

Waterloo, Battle Creek
The Bucks game scheduled on Monday, July 5 against the Battle Creek Bombers has been postponed and will be made up as part of a double-header (two seven-inning games) on Tuesday, July 6.

St. Cloud, Rochester
The scheduled game between the Rochester Honkers and the St. Cloud River Bats tonight at 7:05 PM in St. Cloud has been postponed due to weather. The game will be made up as part of the double head tomorrow consisting of two seven-inning games beginning at 6:05 PM.
