Eau Claire 8, Green Bay 2
The Eau Claire Express were down 2-1 after the fourth inning, but scored seven unanswered runs to beat the Green Bay Bullfrogs 8-2 on Sunday afternoon.  The Express were led by Nate Baumann (Augustana) and Andrew Leonard (Illinois Chicago) who both were 3-for-4 with a RBI.  Starting pitcher Steven Florez (New Mexico) threw an 8.0 inning seven hitter while only surrendering two runs.  The Bullfrogs Jared Andreoli (Western Kentucky) had a two RBI double which was the only runs Green Bay could score. 

St. Cloud 8, Brainerd 4
The St. Cloud River Bats were out hit 12-10 by the Brainerd Lakes Area Lunkers, but took the game 8-4 at Stewart C. Mills Field.  The River Bats Deryk Marks (Augustana) was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBI.  John Schultz (Pittsburgh) also had a great day at the plate going 2-for-4 with two runs scored.  Austen Wisroth (Wayne State) threw 7.0 innings of two run baseball to earn the win.  The Lunkers had Tommy Reyes (California Irvine), Mick Gaston (Cal State Bakersfield), Russ Hopkins (Rutgers) and Levi Ferguson (Indiana State) all had two hits in the loss. 

La Crosse 6, Battle Creek 3
La Crosse put up three runs in the first and never looked back against the Battle Creek Bombers.  La Crosse was led by Tony Mueller (Winona State) and Chris O’Dowd (Dartmouth) at the plate.  Mueller was 2-for-4 with two runs scored while O’Dowd was 3-for-5 with three RBI.  Stayton Thomas (Texas) earned the win while Cole Brocker (Sac City) threw the final 1.2 innings for the save.  The Bombers Andrew Lawrence and Sean Deegan (Penn State) each had two hits in the loss. 

Waterloo 6, Wisconsin Rapids 0
The Waterloo Bucks received a great pitching performance from Zach Cooper (Central Michigan) who threw 8.0 innings of four hit baseball.  Cooper shut down the Rafters offense while giving up zero runs and striking out five.  The Bucks bats were also hot as they racked up eleven hits on the day.  Zach McCool (Iowa), Willie Argo (Illinois), Landon Anderson (Dallas Baptist) and Jeremy Lucas (Indiana State) all had two hits in the shutout win.  The Rafters Ryan Palmero (Santa Barbara) hit a double in the loss. 

Alexandria 7, Duluth 6
The Alexandria Beetles were down 6-2 after five innings, but used a four run ninth inning to take the game 7-6 in Duluth on Sunday afternoon.  The Beetles used a three hit performance from Derke Mattea (John A. Logan) on offense while Kolby Wood (Michigan) earned the win.  Wood threw 4.0 innings of relief and didn’t allow a Huskie hit.  The Huskies Cody Asche was 2-for-4 with two RBI in the loss. 

Thunder Bay 2, Rochester 1
The Border Cats used extra innings to beat the Rochester Honkers 2-1 at Port Arthur Stadium on Sunday.  The Border Cats tied the game up at 1-1 in the eight and P.K. Kitamura (Hawaii) scored in the tenth on a fielder’s choice to win the game.  Thunder Bay was out hit 10-5, but used four walks to their advantage. Drew Erwin (Nicholls State) earned the win in relief throwing 1.2 innings of scoreless baseball.  Sean Martin (San Jose State) took a no-decision while throwing a shutout over 7.0 innings. 

Wisconsin 7, Madison 3
The Woodchucks used a strong pitching performance from Brock Stassi (Nevada) and Mitchell Beacom (UCLA).  Stassi earned the win while Beacom registered the save throwing the final 3.0 innings of scoreless baseball.  Woodchuck second basemen Rob Lind was 3-for-5 with two runs scored in the win.  Kyle Gaedele (Valparaiso) stayed hot at the plate for the Mallards going 2-for-4 with two runs scored.  The Woodchuck win ended a nine game win streak for Madison. 

Willmar, Mankato
The Willmar Stingers pounded out 12 hits and scored ten runs to beat the Mankato MoonDogs by a score of 10-5.  The Stingers used multi hit games from four Stingers.  The Stingers Jordan Smith (St. Cloud State) continued his hot hitting by going 3-for-5 with a run scored while Carlos Leyva (Cal State Dominquez) drove in two runs.  Mankato’s Trever Adams was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI in the loss.
