Rochester 8, Alexandria 3
The Honkers pounded out 12 hits and scored 8 runs against the Alexandria Beetles in an 8-3 win in Alexandria.  The Honkers Jimmy Water (Kansas) homered and drove in four runs in the victory the pitching staff threw a gem.  Aaron Siefken (Iowa Central) was effective from the starting role while Josh McKeon (Upper Iowa) picked up the win in relief after throwing a hitless final 3.0 innings. 

Madison 16, Waterloo 4
In a game that consisted of 25 hits, 20 errors and three errors, the Madison Mallards someway found a way to win 16-4 after being out-hit.  The Bucks pitching staff walked nine batters to help the Mallards as they had less hits and made more errors than the Bucks.  Madison was led by All-Star Kyle Gaedele (Valparaiso) who had two hits and three RBI.  The Mallards pitching staff only allowed four runs while striking out 13 Waterloo hitters.  Jeremy Lucas (Indiana State) had three hits and two RBI in the loss.   

Eau Claire 7, Battle Creek 1
The Express beat the Battle Creek Bombers by a final score of 7-1 in front of 1,551 fans.  Eau Claire was led by Nathan Orf (Illinois Chicago) who was 3-for-5 with two RBI and one run scored.  Drew Heithoff (Augustana) drove in two runs for the Express as he improved his average to .384.  Josh Scheffert (Nebraska) earned the win as he threw 5.0 innings of one-run baseball to earn his fourth win of the season.  Battle Creek’s Jordan Dean (Central Michigan) was 2-for-3 in the loss. 

Wisconsin 7, Green Bay 2
The Wisconsin Woodchucks beat the Green Bay Bullfrogs as their bats were hot and their pitching staff only allowed three hits.  The ‘Chucks Rob Lind led the way offensively as he had three hits and an RBI.  Wisconsin’s pitching staff combined to throw a three hitter while striking out eight Bullfrogs.  Riley Tincher (Wisconsin Whitewater) took the loss as he gave up five runs on nine hits. 

La Crosse 24, Wisconsin Rapids 12
The La Crosse Loggers and Wisconsin Rapids Rafters had the highest scoring game of the 2010 season thus far.  The Loggers beat the Rafters 24-12 as Mike Marjama (Sac City) and Tony Mueller (Winona State) each had four hits on the night.  The game combined to have 36 runs on 31 hits, 17 walks, 11 hit by pitch and three errors.  The Rafters used seven pitchers while La Crosse only used four with Michael Schum (Wright State) getting his third win of the season. 

Duluth 6, Thunder Bay 1
The Huskies jumped out to a 6-0 lead after six innings and took the game from the Thunder Bay Border Cats 6-1 in Duluth.  The Huskies had three players with multi-hit games while both Pete Cappetta (Illinois) and JoJo Sharrar (Utah) had two hits while Cappetta had two RBI.  Robbie Collier (North Florida) earned the win while throwing a two hitter over 7.0 innings. 

Willmar 7, Brainerd 0
The Willmar Stingers shut out the Brainerd Lakes Area Lunkers Monday night at Bill Taunton Stadium.  Willmar’s pitching duo of David Carroll (Western Nevada) and Michael Jahns (Northwestern) combined to throw a three hitter while striking out six Lunkers.  The Stinger offense was led by Jordan Smith (St. Cloud State) was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI while Eduardo Gonzalez (Alcorn State) had three RBI in the victory. 

St. Cloud 1, Mankato 0
The St. Cloud River Bats and Mankato MoonDogs found themselves in a pitcher’s duel Monday night at Franklin Rogers Park in Mankato.  The River Bats and MoonDogs combined to score one run on eight hits while both starters went 7-plus innings.  St. Cloud’s Austen Wisroth (Wayne State-NE) earned the win by throwing a four hitter over 7.0 innings while not allowing a run.  The MoonDogs Sam Selman (Vanderbilt) took the loss, but threw a two hitter over 7.2 innings.  The lone run came in the third inning when Andrew Aplin (Arizona State) scored on an error.
