Eau Claire 7, Battle Creek 0
The South Division leaders beat the Battle Creek Bombers 7-0 as the pitching staff was once again impressive.  Ian Campbell (Corpus Christi) earned the win throwing 7.0 innings and only allowing three hits.  Nathan Orf (Illinois Chicago) was 2-for-3 in the win with two runs scored and one RBI while leadoff hitter Ty Forney (Yavapai) also had two hits.  The Bombers were led by Sean Deegan (Penn State) as he had a three hit night. 

St. Cloud 4, Mankato 1
The River Bats beat the MoonDogs 4-1 as Tim Verthein (Wisconsin La Crosse) earned his second win of the season.  The lanky righty threw 6.0 innings of two-hit baseball while striking out four MoonDogs.  All but one River Bat starter registered a hit while center fielder Andrew Aplin (Arizona State) drove in two runs.  Steve Nyisztor (Rutgers) hit his eighth homerun of the season and drove in his 54th run of the season in the win. 

La Crosse 11, Wisconsin Rapids 5
The La Crosse Loggers used an eight run fourth inning to take the game 11-5 Monday night at Witter Field.  The Loggers Tony Mueller (Winona State) stayed hot at the plate once again as he was 3-for-4 from the leadoff spot.    Brett Rettenmeier (Viterbo) had his best game of 2010 as he was 4-for-6 with three runs scored and five RBI.  Ryan Palmero (Santa Barbara) had two hits in the loss for the Rafters. 

Wisconsin 12, Green Bay 5
The Wisconsin Woodchucks scored 12 runs as they knocked out 17 hits Tuesday night against the Green Bay Bullfrogs.  Wisconsin’s Travis Whitmore was 4-for-5 with three runs scored and two RBI while Robbie De La Cruz and Brian Sharp both had three RBI nights.  The Bullfrogs Ryan Kehl (St. Norbert) was 2-for-4 with two RBI in the loss. 

Madison 8, Waterloo 6
Madison jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead after two innings of play, but the Bucks answered back with a four spot to put the game at 5-4.  The Mallards eventually had another big inning offensively as they had three runs in the fourth and eventually took the game 8-6 in front of 1,310 fans.  The Mallards Reed Gragnani (Virginia) was 2-for-4 with two RBI.  The Mallards pitching staff combined to threw a five hitter while striking out six Bucks batters. 

Alexandria, Rochester
The game between the Rochester Honkers and the Alexandria Beetles scheduled for 7:05 P.M has been postponed due to weather. The game will be made up as part of the double-header tomorrow consisting of two seven-inning games starting at 6:05 P.M.

Willmar, Brainerd
Due to inclement weather and unplayable field conditions, Tuesday night’s game between the Willmar Stingers and the Brainerd Lakes Area Lunkers has been postponed. As a result, the Stingers and Lunkers will play a pair of seven inning games on Wednesday, August 11th starting at 6:05 pm at Bill Taunton Stadium. 

Duluth, Thunder Bay
Tuesday’s game against the Thunder Bay Border Cats has been postponed in the second inning due to rain. The game will resume tomorrow in the third inning at 5:05 with the score tied at 0-0.
