Eau Claire 11, Wisconsin Rapids 2
The South Division leading Eau Claire Express beat the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 11-2 in front of 2,316 fans.  Eau Claire scored in all but two innings and had four batters with RBI’s on the night.  Drew Heithoff (Augustana) was 2-for-2 with three runs scored, two RBI and a base-on-balls while Nathan Orf (Illinois Chicago) drove in four runs.  The Fadness’ brothers, Will (South Mountain CC) and Nolan (Wisconsin OshKosh), combined to score five runs and drive in two RBI.  Matthew McDaniel (San Diego State) earned his 7th win of the season after throwing a three hitter thru 6.0 innings. 

Wisconsin 13, Waterloo 12
The Wisconsin Woodchucks beat the Waterloo Bucks in dramatic fashion as they won 13-12 in ten innings.  The Woodchucks scored four in the ninth inning to tie the game at 12-12 and scored one run in the bottom of the tenth for the win.  Jamie Bruno had two hits and three RBI in the win while all Woodchuck batters registered a hit.  Rob Lind was 3-for-5 in the win with two runs scored and three RBI.  Jake Astor (Southern Arkansas) had two hits and three RBI in the loss. 

Thunder Bay 11, Rochester 3
The Thunder Bay Border Cats beat the Rochester Honkers on Thursday as all Border Cats starters had a hit, but one.  The Border Cats used 12 hits on offense while Christian Dekker (NW Missouri State), Connor Little (Hawaii) and Brian Voigt (Augustana) combined to throw a four hitter while only allowing three runs.  Ryan Court (Illinois State) continued his great batting as he was 2-for-3 with two RBI.  Tanner Nivins (Stony Brook), Ken Battiston (Eastern Michigan), and Tyler Wosleger (Fairfield) all had two hits in the win.  Chris Elder (Oral Roberts) had two hits in the loss for Rochester. 

Mankato 6, Duluth 1
The MoonDogs scored in six of eight innings as they beat the Duluth Huskies 6-1.  Logan Odom (USC) threw a 5.0 inning four hitter to earn the win while Logan Frame and Anthony Campanella combined to throw the final 4.0 innings of scoreless baseball.  Sam Lind led the MoonDog offense as he was 3-for-5 with two runs scored and hit his 3rd homerun of the season.  Cody Asche (Nebraska) drove in his league leading 61st RBI of the season in the loss. 

La Crosse 9, Madison 5
The La Crosse Loggers won a huge game Thursday night at Copeland Park against the Madison Mallards.  The Loggers Matt Flemer (California Berkeley) threw a great game against a tough Mallard line-up.  Flemer threw 7.0 innings scattering ten hits and allowing three runs while striking out eight Mallards.  Five Loggers batters had multi-hit games as Mike Marjama (Sacramento CC) and Chris O’Dowd (Dartmouth) each drove in two runs.  Tony Mueller (Winona State) had two hits, scored two runs and stole his 26th and 27th bases of the year which puts him in a three-way tie for the league lead.  Kyle Gaedele (Valparaiso) kept the Mallards in the game with a 3-for-4 performance with three RBI and a homerun. 

Green Bay 11, Battle Creek 1
The Green Bullfrogs scored eight unanswered runs Thursday night against the Battle Creek Bombers and won the game 11-1.  The Bullfrogs Andrew Eichstaedt (Wisconsin Whitewater) had a huge game with four hits and four RBI in his 3rd game of the season.  The Green Bay pitching staff threw an one-run eight hitter while striking out 11 Bombers.  The Bombers Parker Berberet (Oregon State) was a perfect 3-for-3 in the loss. 

Brainerd, St. Cloud
Right before the bottom of the second was about to begin, a strike of lightning began what was almost an hour and a half delay in Thursday night’s scheduled game. The delay began with the Lunkers leading 1-0.  The rain did not cease so the game was suspended. It is scheduled to resume tomorrow at 5:05 in St. Cloud at Joe Faber Field.

Willmar, Alexandria
Due to inclement weather and unplayable field conditions, the Stingers August 12th home regular season finale versus the Alexandria Beetles has been postponed. As a result, the Stingers and Beetles will play a pair of seven inning games at Knute Nelson Memorial Park in Alexandria on Friday, August 13th, with the first game starting at 6:05 pm.
