The Eau Claire Express advance to the Summer Collegiate World Series Friday night as they beat the Wisconsin Woodchucks 6-2.  The Express will face the Rochester Honkers on Friday night in Eau Claire at 6:35 PM. 

Eau Claire pounded out 16 hits and scored six runs as starting pitcher Matthew McDaniel (San Diego State) only allowed two runs thru 6.2 innings.  McDaniel allowed six hits on the night while striking out two Woodchucks.  The Express were down 1-0 in the middle of the 3rd, but put up two runs to take the 2-1 lead after three innings.  Eau Claire continued their scoring as they put up single runs in the 4th, 5th and 6th innings. 

Eau Claire had five batters with multi-hit games and were led by Nathan Orf (Illinois-Chicago) who was a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI.  Andrew Leonard (Illinois-Chicago) and Josh Scheffert (Nebraska) each had two hits and one RBI in the win.  Sharif Othman (California Baptist) had three hits in the loss for the ‘Chucks. 

Eau Claire and Rochester face off in the Summer Collegiate World Series Friday night in Eau Claire at 6:35 PM.
