The Green Bay Bullfrogs are excited to announce the signing of Chapman University pitcher Brian Rauh, the teams first signing for the upcoming 5th anniversary 2011 season.

Rauh was named the NCAA Division III Pitcher of the Year in 2010 as a freshman. He appeared in 17 games, including 10 starts posting a perfect 11-0 record with four saves and a 2.38 ERA. Rauh tossed a team-high four complete games, struck out 100 batters in 83.1 innings and had 10 or more strikeouts in four games. He struck out a career-high 14 vs. Cal Lutheran while opponents batted just .175 against him. Rauh ranked No. 5 in Division III in victories (11) and hits allowed per nine innings (5.51) In addition Rauh was named to the ABCA and D3Baseball.com All-America teams, NCBWA Division III and West Region Pitcher of the Year, the ABCA West Region Pitcher of the Year and the All-Independent Pitcher of the Year in 2010.

"We are very excited to have Brian in Green Bay to continue our very successful relationship with Chapman, one of the premier Division III programs in the country,” said Bullfrogs Field Manager Jordan Bischel. “Brian is expected to be the next in a long line of Chapman players to play professional baseball. He will be a key contributor on the mound for us in 2011.”

The Chapman Panthers entered the 2011 season ranked No. 3 according to Baseball America and No. 11 in the NCAA Division III pre-season poll released by D3Baseball.com. Rauh began the 2011 season for the Panthers tossing 7 hitless innings while striking out 13 in a win against Whittier on February 4.
