The Green Bay Bullfrogs are excited to announce the signings of Alex and Nik Balog, brothers from San Francisco University and Ryan Allgrove from the University of California-Davis for their upcoming 5th anniversary 2011 season.
Alex, a highly touted freshman recruit as a pitcher also plays first base. Named the Player of the Year by the San Jose Mercury News last year as a senior in high school, Balog hit .407 with 30 RBI and posted an 8-2 record on the mound with 48 strikeouts and an ERA of 1.01.
Nik, a junior infielder for the Don’s was a First Team All-West Coast Conference selection last season hitting a team high in doubles with 20, while adding 6 home runs and 29 RBI. Through 15 games this season Balog is hitting .275.
Allgrove is a junior transfer infielder for the Aggies. He spent 2009 at Fresno State and last year at San Mateo Community College where he helped the Bulldogs reach the California State Community College Championship hitting .352 and stealing 18 bases in 22 attempts.
