The Rochester Honkers Baseball Club announced today the signing of right-handed pitcher Trevor Williams from Arizona State University.

The 6’3” 211-pound freshman is currently 1-0 with a 1.32 ERA.  Used exclusively as a late inning reliever, Williams has appeared in a team high 9 games, pitching 13.2 innings, allowing only 2 earned runs, while striking out 18 and holding opponents to a mere .111 batting average.  He recorded his only save on March 12th at Auburn holding the Tigers hitless for the final 2.2 innings in the 9-5 ASU win.

Williams graduated from Rancho Bernardo High School in San Diego, CA., where he earned three letters in baseball. He finished his senior season with a 10-2 record while hitting .432.  Williams was then a First Team All-League and Second Team All-CIF pick and named the Team MVP, an honor he was awarded twice during high school.  Williams was also a preseason Under Armour All-American.
