The Rochester Honkers Baseball Club announced today the signing of freshman outfielder Tony Kemp from #2 ranked Vanderbilt University.
 
Kemp, a 5’6”, 160-pound left-handed hitting outfielder, is the leadoff man for the 22-3 Commodores.  He is currently hitting .326 with three triples, 14 walks and 11 RBI.  Kemp is also 5-8 in stolen bases.

Kemp graduated from Centennial High School in Franklin, TN where he earned four letters in both baseball and football. He was an All-District selection three years, and named All-Tournament, First team All-Midstate, All Williamson County, and team captain his junior and senior years.  Kemp was also a four-year member of the honor roll and received the Merit Award for most outstanding senior.  Kemp’s brother Corey played professionally in the Milwaukee Brewers organization.

Kemp joins fellow Vanderbilt teammates, Robert Hansen and Spencer Navin to the Honkers this summer.
