The Rochester Honkers Baseball Club announced today the signing of right-handed pitcher Austin House from the University of New Mexico.

The 6’4″ 185-pound sophomore is a late inning reliever. House has appeared in team high 14 games, pitching 21.1 innings and striking out 15.

A 2009 graduate of La Cueva High School in Albuquerque, NM, House helped his team to a state championship in 2008 and was named first team all-state, first team all-district and first team all-metro as a senior. House was then drafted in the 25th round by the Boston Red Sox in the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft, but chose to attend New Mexico.
