The Madison Mallards are excited to announce that former first baseman Jerrud Sabourin has become Indiana University’s all-time hits leader.

Sabourin notched his 306th career hit when he recorded his third base-knock of the game in a 6-0 victory over the Iowa Hawkeyes on April 17. He surpassed the previous record-holder in Alex Smith (1982-1986). Sabourin has started 208 consecutive games for the Cream and Crimson.
