The Bombers are excited to announce the signing of Troy White from Northern Illinois University, rounding out the infield for the 2011 season.

Troy White is finishing strong in his junior season for the Huskies, hitting .289 with 30 RBI and an impressive .289 career average. A stand-out contact hitter, he put together a stunning 15-game hitting streak during the 2010 season before suffering a season-ending injury in late April. Prior to his career at NIU, he was selected in the 48th round of the 2008 MLB Draft by the Cleveland Indians. White is majoring in Business Administration at NIU.

“Troy is an experienced young man who can come in right away and contribute. He has been consistent throughout his college career and we expect a great season out of him.” said Bombers GM Brian Colopy.
