The Green Bay Bullfrogs are excited to announce four new signings for the 2011 season. Matt Ozanne a Sophomore from Santa Clara, Mitch Haniger a Sophomore from Cal Poly along with Tyler Filliben a Freshman and Gardner Richey a Sophomore from Samford.

Ozanne is a starting outfielder for the Santa Clara Broncos. He was drafted by the Diamondbacks in the 2009 MLB Draft, but chose to attend Santa Clara. In 2010 he was named an All-WCC honorable mention, starting 18 games in 38 appearances as he finished the year with a batting average of .380 along with 17 RBI, and 2 HR. Ozanne batted .429 in WCC play with seven extra-base hits and 14 RBI. He is currently hitting .277 for the Broncos with 3 HR and 20 RBI.

After a brilliant true freshman season in which he earned Big West Freshman Player of the Year honors Mitch Haniger is Cal Poly’s every day right fielder in 2011. In 2010 as a .326 hitter in his first season at Cal Poly he had 15 doubles, one triple, seven home runs and 46 RBI and was also 7-for-11 in stolen bases as he earned the team’s Scott Kidd Rookie of the Year Award and was named to Louisville Slugger’s Freshman All-American Team. Haniger went 5-for-6 with two doubles, a home run, three RBI and three runs scored in the season finale against Cal State Bakersfield, becoming the ninth Mustang in Division I history to collect five or more hits in a game. He was named West Coast Collegiate Baseball League player of the week in late July after leading the Knights to perfect 6-0 week and into first place. Mitch was drafted in the 31st round by the New York Mets in 2009.

Filliben is a Freshman infielder for the Bulldogs. The South Miami native is currently hitting .256 with 5 doubles and 2 triples while starting all 44 games at shortstop. He has also gone 4-for-7 in stolen base attempts. He attended Christopher Columbus High School in Miami, Florida.

Richey saw action in 24 games as a Freshman in 2010, including 14 starts, seeing time in the outfield and at designated hitter. Gardner attended Tupelo High School in Mississippi and was named first team All-State in 2008 as well as being named All-Area in 2007 and 2008. He currently has 4 HR and 11 RBI while playing every day at RF for the Bulldogs.
