The Madison Mallards are excited to announce Aaron Sims will return for a seventh season as the team’s booming-voiced P.A. Announcer, and eighth summer overall, as he began as the Mallards’ radio play-by-play guy in 2004.

In 2005 and 2006 Sims served as both P.A. Announcer and radio play-by-play guy for Mallards’ road games.

In addition to his contributions to the Mallards each season, Sims has served as the play-by-play broadcaster for the Milwaukee Admirals hockey team the last six years. He also oversees the team’s Outreach Program.

“We are extremely excited to have Aaron back with us for a seventh season,” said Mallards General Manager Conor Caloia. “He is one of the best public address announcers in the game and his style makes the Mallards experience unique to any throughout the country.”

Sims can’t wait to get started with Opening Day now less than 30 days away.

“I always look forward to the baseball season in Madison,” said Sims. “There’s no better place to be in the summer than the ‘Duck Pond.’ I’m extremely excited about all of the changes being made to the ballpark. I know it’ll make what is already the best show in sports even better.”
