Eau Claire Express baseball at Carson Park is just over two weeks away. To help you get ready for the 2011 season, United Bank is hosting a pre-season tailgate party in their parking lot on May 28 from 11AM – 1PM. The bank is located at 3625 Gateway Drive across from Kohl’s.
The Express, Gordy’s County Market, Charter and United Bank are teaming up to provide baseball fans of the Chippewa Valley with the chance to meet and get autographs from some of the Express players and win great prizes the day before the 2011 season begins! The Gordy’s Guru will be there grilling the all-new Shiner Bock Sausage, along with the Eau Claire Express brat, which will be given away along with a can of Coke for FREE to all that attend! The Shiner Sausage and Express brat will be available exclusively at Gordy’s County Market and Carson Park baseball stadium.
Prizes will be given away every ½ hour throughout the event. A grand prize drawing will be given away at 1 PM that includes two fan deck vouchers to a regular season Express game (excluding July 4), a gift certificate to Gordy’s County Market and a $200 savings bond at United Bank.
New this year, the event will include a chance for the kids to try out the new Express inflatable speed pitch. This will be a new addition to the kids play area at Carson Park for the 2011 season. Three throws can be purchased for $1 at the park, but all throws are FREE for the tailgate party! Anyone that guesses the speed of their third pitch will win an Express general admission voucher good for any Express regular season home game (excluding July 4).
Other prizes given away will include $10 Gordy’s gift cards and Express home opener tickets for June 2. United Bank will also be giving young Express fans a unique opportunity. The bank will be paying the $10 Trax Kids Club registration fee to all kids that sign up for a Junior Savings account with a $5 initial deposit and join the Junior Savers Club. This offer is valid for the entire month of May and will go through June 3, 2011.
