The Madison Mallards and TDS are excited to announce the first event to be held in the newly-renovated “Duck Pond” will be a high school baseball game between Madison East High School and Madison La Follette High School on Friday, May 27 at 7:05 p.m.  The event is made possible by support from Mallards Founding Partner TDS.

Admission is free for the seven-inning contest; however, a $4 donation is suggested with half of the proceeds benefiting the Madison Parks Foundation and the other half benefiting the Habitat for Humanity of Dane County.

Proceeds from concessions will be split evenly between the two participating high schools.

The event will provide a sneak peak for baseball fans to check out the Mallards spectacular new digs.  Tickets will be available beginning today at the Mallards box office or via phone by calling 608.316.DUCK (3825).  All tickets will be general admission.

Normally, the “Duck Pond” is the home field for both schools, but with the ongoing $1.8M ballpark construction project that began in the fall, each school had to relocate to different venues this season.

Madison La Follette has posted an 8-8-1 record this spring, while Madison East is currently 5-12.
