Scott Sommerfeld (Missouri) paced the Mankato MoonDogs offense Friday night as they exploded for sixteen runs on fifteen hits against the Rochester Honkers. Sommerfeld and the MoonDogs beat the Honkers 16-6 at Franklin Rogers Park. The 6’1” designated hitter drove in three runs and scored every time he reached base Friday night. Sommerfeld is currently hitting .417 for the MoonDogs who are off to a hot 3-0 start.
