Ben Jungers (Minnesota Duluth) was impressive on the mound Saturday night at Wade Stadium.  Jungers is familiar to Duluth as he pitched for the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs in 2011.  The 6’0” right-handed pitcher only allowed four hits in 7.0 innings of work.  The Duluth starter is now 1-0 with a 4.85 earned run average in 2011.

Also throwing well Saturday night was Alexandria Beetles starting pitcher Jon Reed (Tennessee).  Reed also threw 7.0 innings and gave up six hits and one run.
