Aaron Griffin (Loyola Marymount) of the Brainerd Lunkers earned a no-decision Sunday, but had a perfect game going until the 7th inning.  Griffin threw 7.0 innings of two-hit baseball while allowing one run.  The Lunkers lost 2-1 in 14 innings against the MoonDogs in Mankato.   

Also pitching well in the NWL on Sunday, Kevin Vangheluwe.  Kevin led the Beetles to victory at Joe Faber Field in front of 1,521 fans.  The right-handed pitcher only allowed three hits in 7.0 innings of work and did not allow a single run.  The pitching performance helped Alexandria improve their record to 8-4 in the North Division of the NWL.
