Derek Lamacchia (Quinnipiac) made quick work of the Green Bay Bullfrogs Monday night. The right-handed Whitestone, NY., native only allowed three hits in 7.0 innings of work at Riverfront Stadium in Waterloo. Lamacchia is now 1-1 on the season with a 4.73 earned run average.
Also pitching well on Monday was Alexandria starting pitcher Matt Fyffe (Eastern Kentucky). Fyffe threw a six hitter in 7.0 innings of work to earn the win against the St. Cloud River Bats.
