Waterloo 5, Wisconsin 4

The Bucks fell behind 3-0 at Athletic Park in Wausau, Wisc., Tuesday night, but scored five runs in the final five innings for the comeback win.  The Bucks received a nice pitching performance from Shane Broyles (Seminole State CC).  Broyles earned his 2nd win of the season as he threw 7.0 innings of six hit baseball.  Offensively the Bucks had nine hits and were led by Drew Walsh (Long Island) and Jordan Adams (Central Michigan).  Walsh drove in two runs and Adams drove in one with a solo home run.  Mike Gerber (Creighton) homered in the loss for the Woodchucks. 

Green Bay 7, Wisconsin Rapids 3

A six-run sixth inning gave the Bullfrogs a 7-3 win over the Wisconsin Rafters on Tuesday night at Joannes Stadium. Green Bay had four hits and took advantage of four errors in the come from behind victory. The bullpen tossed five shutout innings in relief of AJ Gaura (Iowa Western CC) as the ‘Frogs improve to 8-6. All three runs scored by the Rafters were unearned while the starter Gaura was on the mound as the defense made two costly errors. 

Madison 8, Eau Claire 4

The Mallards jumped out to an 8-0 lead after seven innings and held on to win 8-4 at the ‘Duck Pond’ in Madison.  Madison’s Justin Scanlon (Michigan State), Zac Zellers (Heartland CC), Jumpy Garcia (Texas A&M Corpus-Christi), and Andrew Barna (Davidson) paced the offense Tuesday night.  The four hitters combined to go 7-16 with six runs scored and seven RBIs. Rusty Shellhorn (Texas Tech) picked up his 2nd win of the season as he allowed four hits in 6.0 innings of work. 

Battle Creek 14, La Crosse 4

Battle Creek brought their bats with them to Copeland Park Tuesday night as they knocked out 18 hits against the Loggers. Battle Creek had five players with multi-hit games and were paced by Daniel Rockett (Texas San Antonio) and Jordan Dean (Central Michigan).  Rockett was 4-for-5 with four runs scored and five RBIs while Dean was 4-for-6 with three RBIs.  Rockett and Dean both homered in the win. 

 

North

Alexandria, Duluth

The Beetles and Huskies game was suspended Tuesday night because of rain.  The game is currently 3-2 with the Huskies in the lead at Knute Nelson Memorial Park. 

Rochester, Thunder Bay

Once again the Honkers get suspended due to rain at Mayo Field.  This time it was only 2.5 innings into the ball game, tied at 1.  The Honkers and Border Cats will resume tomorrow night, Wednesday, June 15 at 5:05.   

Mankato, Willmar

Postponed to June 20th and 6:05 PM. 

Brainerd, St. Cloud

Postponed due to rain.
