Rusty Shellhorn (Texas Tech) picked up his 2nd ‘NWL Pitcher of the Night’ award after throwing a two hitter in 6.0 innings of work for the Mallards. The 5’9” left-handed pitcher won his 3rd game of the season as he struck out seven Bucks batters. Shellhorn now has a 1.17 earned run average in 23.0 innings pitched.
Also pitching well on Monday was Tyler Niederklein (Nebraska). The righty picked up his 1st win of the season as he beat the Willmar Stingers after throwing 7.0 innings.
