Jake Powers of the Waterloo Bucks threw a five hitter in 7.0 innings of work against the Eau Claire Express on Monday night. Powers, a 5’10” lefty from Missouri State, improved his record to 3-2 with the win and now sports a 3.68 earned run average. Powers has now pitched 44.0 innings in 2011 and has 25 strikeouts.
