Joseph Koon (Southeastern Louisiana) earns Pitcher of the Night in the Northwoods League for his role in Thunder Bay’s 1-0 victory over Duluth on Monday. The 6’2" righty from Saltillo, Mississippi didn’t factor into the decision, but his 8 1/3 innings of shut out ball gave the Border Cats the opportunity to win the game by scoring a run in the 9th. Koon fanned 10 Huskies and didn’t walk a batter while scattering six hits in the contest.
