Jake Stassi (Long Beach State) gave the La Crosse Loggers the pitching performance they needed Thursday by pitching eight innings, allowing only two runs against the Wisconsin Woodchucks in a 5-4 victory. Jake, who’s older brother Brock played for the Woodchucks in 2010, struck out three while walking one and scattering seven hits to earn his 4th win of the season. The 6’0" 200-pound left-hander from Yoba City, California has another older brother, Max, who is a catcher in the Oakland Athletics farm system. Brock is now playing first base in the Philadelphia Phillies organization.
