Jeremy Boyd (Southern Polytechnic State) hit a two-out, three-run home run in the top of the 9th inning Saturday night in Rochester to tie the score at 8-8 in a game the Beetles trailed 8-2 in the 7th. It was the 3rd home run of the year for the left-handed hitting right fielder. Boyd, from McDonough, Georgia, went 4-for-6 in the contest to raise his batting average to .325. The Beetles won the game 9-8 in 13 innings.
