Eau Claire’s Tony Vocca (Yavapai) struck out 14 batters in eight innings on the mound in a combined-no-hitter in a 5-0 win against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters Thursday night in Eau Claire. Mike Couch (Santa Clara) struck out three in the 9th to finish off the no-no. Vocca, a 5-foot 10-inch 170-pound left-hander, improved to 2-3 on the season. The Cottonwood, Arizona native also struck out 14 in a game on June 16th against Battle Creek.
