Mankato’s Patrick Goelz (Bethune-Cookman) pitched the final four innings in the MoonDogs 5-3 series-clinching win against Alexandria. The 6-foot 3-inch right-hander from Palm Bay, Florida struck out four, walked two and allowed just one hit to the Beetles in the late innings. He struck out Mike Theofanopolous (California) to end the game and send the MoonDogs to the Summer Collegiate World Series.
