BATTLE CREEK, MI- The Battle Creek Bombers have signed outfielder Turner Gill out of the University of Portland for the 2012 season.

Turner Gill: 6’3-215, L/R, IF/OF, University of Portland (SO.), Madras, OR.

In his freshman year at the University of Portland, Gill led the team with a .332 average, earning him a spot on the Louisville Slugger Freshmen All-American Team. As an outfielder/ designated hitter, Turner hit 3 home runs with 33 runs batted in. He led the Pilots with 15 multi-hit games and was tied for second on the team with eight multi-RBI games. Because of his success, Gill became the first Pilot since 2008 to be named to the All-WCC First Team.

In 2001 and 2003 he was named the NFL Punt, Pass, and Kick National Runner-up. He even represented Team USA and won a gold medal in the 2005 Pan Am Games.
