LA CROSSE, WI – The La Crosse Loggers Baseball Club continues to build its 2012 roster by announcing the signing of a pair of players from Loyola Marymount University today in freshman infielder Kyle Raubinger and freshman two-way man Colin Welmon.

Raubinger [pictured] is yet another Logger signee who turned down an offer from professional baseball last June when he said no to the Baltimore Orioles after they drafted him the 28th Round of the 2011 MLB Draft. The 6-3, 210 pound left-handed hitting infielder was the All-County Player of the Year coming out of Arroyo Grande High School in Arroyo Grande, Calif. and was also a member of the Milwaukee Brewers at the 2010 Area Code Games.

Welmon joins Raubinger at LMU as part of a recruiting class that was ranked as the 23rd best incoming class in the nation by Baseball America. Another two-way threat for the Loggers, Welmon has the ability to pitch and play the outfield. The Tustin, Calif. native was an All-County and All-State selection in high school and was also a member of the Angels Elite Scout Team.
