Waterloo, IA – The Waterloo Bucks, a member of the Northwoods League, have announced the hiring of Kendall Hughson as the Assistant General Manager/Director of Stadium Operations. Hughson (pronounced HUGH-son) will join General Manager Dan Corbin for the 18th season of Bucks Baseball.

Hughson, a former Bucks intern, is a graduate of Minnesota State University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management in December of 2011. While at Minnesota State, Hughson worked with the MSU Sport Marketing Team, the Alexandria Blizzard hockey team, and the Minnesota Swarm lacrosse team.

"I’m excited to join an organization like the Waterloo Bucks and add to the rich baseball history of the Cedar Valley," said Hughson.

The summer of 2010 saw Hughson as a Stadium Operations intern with the Bucks. In that role, Hughson was in charge of all stadium set-up and take-down on game days, focused on game-by-game stadium operation, and had a hand in various other duties. Hughson takes over for former Assistant General Manager Aaron Rustad who recently accepted a position with the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association.

"Kendall’s work ethic and attitude are contagious," said Corbin. "His experiences with the Bucks and at Minnesota State make him the right fit and we expect him to help the Bucks make our 2012 season a home run. Rusty (Rustad) did a tremendous job with us over the last three seasons and we wish him the best of luck with his new career in Minneapolis."
