ST. CLOUD, MN- The St. Cloud franchise of the Northwoods League has announced that it will unveil its team name and logo at Legends Bar & Grill located in the Holiday Inn & Suites in St. Cloud on Tuesday, February 28 at 7pm.   The event is free and open to the public. There will be merchandise and season ticket options available at the event.
 
“We received over 1,200 suggestions for a team name.  The excitement and support from the community has been outstanding.  We are looking forward to a great event to share the team name and logo.” St. Clouds Vice President Scott Schreiner said.
 
The Northwoods League season kicks off on May 30, but the home opener for the St. Cloud franchise will be on Saturday, June 2 when they take on Mankato at 7:05 pm.
 
The Northwoods League has more teams, plays more games, and draws more fans than any other Summer Collegiate Baseball League in North America. Fifty former Northwoods League players played in the Major Leagues in 2011. The League has 16 teams in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Michigan, and Ontario.
