FrogVille, Wis – The Green Bay Bullfrogs announced their continuing relationship with the University of Texas, one of the premier programs in all of college baseball, with the signings of Collin Shaw and Toller Boardman.

Shaw and Boardman, both freshman, were highly recruited by the Longhorns and are expected to compete for playing time immediately at UT.  As is customary for the Texas program, the Longhorns are predicted by many to be playing at the College World Series in 2012.

Shaw, an outfielder, arrives at Texas following a prep career in which he helped lead Westlake (Austin, TX) High School to a 32-7 record in 2011.  A second team all-state selection, Shaw hit .487 with 7 home runs as a senior.  Perfect Game rated him the 426th best prospect in the class of 2011 and the 42nd best player in Texas.

Boardman, a left-handed pitcher, spent his prep career at Bellaire (TX) High School. While at Bellaire the 6’3" Boardman earned four varsity letters, was named an All-American three times and finished his career with a 37-6 record and a 1.10 ERA.  Perfect Game took notice, ranking Boardman the 275th best prospect in the class of 2011 and the 30th best player in Texas.

"I am thrilled that we have been able to extend our relationship with the University of Texas," Bullfrogs Field Manager Jordan Bischel said.  "Texas has some of the most talented players in the country and those players are consistently among the most well coached in all of college baseball.  We have heard nothing but positive things about these two young men."

The Bullfrogs open up their 6th season in FrogVille, Wisconsin on May 30 at 6:35 pm against the expansion Lakeshore Chinooks.  Please call 920-497-7225 or log on to www.greenbaybullfrogs.com for more information.
