Waterloo, IA – The Waterloo Bucks, a member of the Northwoods League, have announced the signing right-handed pitcher Carter Watson to their roster for the 2012 season. Watson, a sophomore at the University of Tennessee, is the 18th player to be named to Waterloo’s roster for the team’s 18th season.
 
This season, the 6’3", 205-pounder owns a 1.42 ERA in four appearances for the Volunteers. Watson has struck out 10 while walking just three batters in 12.2 innings pitched and is holding opposing hitters to a .182 average.

Last year as a freshman, Watson appeared in 23 games for Tennessee, finishing with a team high five wins and a 5.29 ERA. The Murfreesboro, Tennessee native started two games and ended the season with 22 strikeouts in 32.1 innings pitched.

Born August 6, 1992, Watson attended Siegel High School where he was a four-year letter winner and finished his prep career with an overall record of 24-6 and 264 strikeouts. The righty was a four-time All-District, three-time All-Region, and two-time All-State honoree. Carter is the son of Steve and Kaleida Watson.
