BATTLE CREEK, MI- The Battle Creek Bombers have announced that pitcher Alex Tukey, from the University of Minnesota will be returning for his second season in Battle Creek.
Alex Tukey: 6’4-165, R/R, RHP, University of Minnesota (RS SO.), San Diego, CA. 
 
Last summer with the Bombers Alex made 28 appearances out of the bullpen, the second highest on the team. Tukey finished the summer with a 4-1 record, an ERA of 5.25, with 4 saves. He has a similar role at the University of Minnesota. So far this season, he has yet to give up a run in 4 games out of the bullpen.
Alex is not the only player on this team to hail from Torrey Pines High School. Fellow bomber pitcher Nate Walker also played under coach Matt Chess at Torrey Pines in San Diego, CA. In Tukey’s senior season, he was named Honorable Mention All-Conference primarily as the team’s closer. That team finished the year with a 22-10 record and won the Avocado League with a 12-3 record. 
The Battle Creek Bombers are members of the prestigious Northwoods League that has more teams, plays more games, and draws more fans than any other summer collegiate baseball league in North America.
