Wisconsin Rapids, WI – The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters put the finishing touches on their 30-man roster by announcing the signings of pitchers Seth Fuller and Tyler Farrell, both from Western Illinois University.
“The additions of Seth and Tyler provide us with excellent depth on the mound,” said Rafters General Manager Liz Kern.  “Both players are young but have tremendous potential.  We look forward to watching them develop further on the mound this summer.”

Farrell will see his first baseball action of the season this summer for the Rafters after being red-shirted as a freshman this spring.  Farrell was drafted in the 43rd Round by the New York Yankees in the 2011 MLB Draft after an impressive prep career at Galesburg High School in Illinois.
As a senior in 2011, Farrell was selected to the All-Western Big 6 Conference Team after posting a 7-1 record and a 0.94 ERA, while striking out a whopping 93 batters in 52 innings.  During his junior year he struck out 78 batters in 69 innings while recording a 2.03 ERA.  His performance on the mound also led him to being named Honorable Mention All-American and First Team Central Region All-American by the Rawlings and Perfect Game USA pre-season lists.  He was also ranked the #11th prospect in Illinois by Prep Baseball Report in 2011.  Farrell is a native of Galesburg, Illinois.
