WILLMAR, Minn. (May 31, 2012) – The Mankato MoonDogs starting pitcher Ty Taylor (Oklahoma) was named Northwoods League Pitcher of the Night for Thursday, May 31.
Taylor, a native of Celburne, Texas, threw six innings for the MoonDogs. Although, he walked three Willmar batters, he allowed no runs on just one lone hit. Taylor also recorded the win for Mankato.
The MoonDogs were not able to hold on to the shutout, but were able to hold on to the victory with a 4-1 win over the Willmar Stingers. The MoonDogs are back in action on Friday, June 1, when they host the St. Cloud Rox. First pitch is 7:05 p.m.
