ROCHESTER, Minn. (June 1, 2012) – Rochester Honkers starting pitcher Matt Kent (Texas A&M) was named the Northwoods League Pitcher of the Night for Friday, June 1.

Kent kept the Honkers in their game against the Thunder Bay Border Cats. Kent threw eight dominant innings allowing just one earned run on five hits. The Waco, Texas native struck out nine Thunder Bay batters, but received a no decision. 

The Honkers and Border Cats are back at it Saturday night. First pitch at Mayo Field in Rochester is at 7:05 p.m.
