ROCHESTER, Minn. (June 19, 2012) – Rain came early and often in Thunder Bay, Ontario, causing Tuesday night’s game between the Border Cats and the Waterloo Bucks to be postponed until Wednesday. The two teams will play two seven-inning games beginning at 6:05 p.m. ET. 

In Tuesday’s action, the La Crosse Loggers tied a franchise record, the Rochester Honkers ended their skid and the Chinooks win a wild one in Wausau, Wis.  

Madison 0, Green Bay 5

The Bullfrogs were led by the Northwoods League Pitcher of the Night, Bryce Bellin (Minnesota State). Bellin threw seven shutout innings, allowed just two hits and struck out five. This series shifts to Madison on Wednesday for a 7:05 p.m. start. 

Alexandria 6, Rochester 8

The Honkers were led by Northwoods League Player of the Night, Reid Roper (Illinois). Roper put Rochester up by four runs early when he hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the first with the Honkers already leading 1-0. This series shifts to Alexandria on Wednesday with the first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

La Crosse 9, Battle Creek 4

The Loggers were led by Boomer Collins (Dallas Baptist) who went for 3-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored. Collins also recorded a home run in the top of the fourth. The tenth straight win by the Loggers ties a franchise record. These two teams will square off again on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. ET. 

Lakeshore 8, Wisconsin 7

The Woodchucks put up five runs in the bottom of the seventh to take the lead 6-5, but the Chinooks would come back with three runs in the top of the eighth to put this one away. This series will continue on Wednesday when Lakeshore hosts the Woodchucks for a 6:35 p.m. start. 

Duluth 4, Mankato 12

The MoonDogs were led by Cody Ferrell (Oklahoma City) who went 2-for-4 at the plate with two RBI and two runs scored for Mankato. The two teams will play again on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. in Mankato. 

Wisconsin Rapids 8, Eau Claire 7

The Rafters were led by Aaron Jones (Winston-Salem State). Jones was 2-for-4 at the plate and drove in four runs for Wisconsin Rapids. This series continues Wednesday at 7:05 p.m.

Willmar 9, St. Cloud 4

The Stingers saw a solid game from second baseman Matt Jackson (Washington). Jackson went 2-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored for Willmar. These two teams will play again on Wednesday at 1:05 p.m.
