ROCHESTER, Minn. (July 3, 2012) – Tuesday brought a lot of exciting action around the Northwoods League. Rochester and Thunder Bay scored 12 runs in the first inning of their battle and a Mankato MoonDog was perfect at the plate. 

Rochester 12, Thunder Bay 11

In this shootout, the Honkers were led by Justin Parr (Illinois) who was 4-for-5 at the plate with three RBI and two runs scored. The Border Cats will host the Honkers again on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. ET. 

Duluth 4, St. Cloud 3

Trey Vavra (Madison College) stayed hot for the Huskies, going 2-for-4 with two RBI for Duluth in the victory. The Rox will host the Huskies on Wednesday at 3:05 p.m.

Green Bay 6, Wisconsin 1

Green Bay was led by the starting effort of Zak Hermans (Princeton). Hermans threw seven innings allowing just one run and striking out 10 batters. This series will shift to Green Bay for a first pitch time of 4:05 p.m. on Wednesday. 

Waterloo 9, Mankato 15

Cody Ferrell (Oklahoma City) was unstoppable at the plate for the MoonDogs. He was 5-for-5 with two home runs, four RBI and four runs scored. The MoonDogs and Bucks will square off again on Wednesday at 6:05 p.m.

Lakeshore 3, Eau Claire 7

The Express were led by Will Fadness (UW-Milwaukee) who was 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored. He also picked up his first home run of the season. Eau Claire will host the Chinooks at 6:05 p.m. 

Madison 7, Wisconsin Rapids 4

Mallards were led by Jack Livingston (Northwestern) who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored. The Rafters will host the Mallards again on Wednesday with the start scheduled for 1:05 p.m.

Willmar 12, Alexandria 6

The Stingers were led by Dillon Haupt (San Diego) who went 4-for-6 with two RBI and three runs scored. The Beetles will host the Stingers on Wednesday at 3:05 p.m.

La Crosse 9, Battle Creek 1

The Loggers were led by Bobby Juan (Minneosta) who was 2-for-4 at the plate with three RBI. This series will continue on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. ET in Battle Creek.
