ROCHESTER, Minn. (July 9, 2012) – The Willmar Stingers set yet another franchise record for runs scored in a game and the Woodchucks stayed undefeated in the second half of play. 

Mankato 4, Waterloo 2

The MoonDogs were led by the starting effort of Kyle McGrath (Louisville) who threw 8.2 innings and allowed just two runs and struck out six. The Bucks will host the Thunder Bay Border Cats at 6:35 p.m. on Tuesday while the MoonDogs will host the Rochester Honkers at 1:05 p.m.

Willmar 21, Rochester 11

A day after setting the franchise record for runs scored in a game, the Stingers break that record again by putting up 21 on Rochester, led by Kenny Roberts (Alabama) who had a grand slam in the second inning. The Stingers will travel to St. Cloud to face the Rox on Tuesday at 7:05 p.m.

Alexandria 7, Thunder Bay 2

Matt Beaty (Belmont) was 2-for-4 with four RBI and a run scored. He also picked up his first home run of the season. Alexandria will travel to Duluth on Tuesday to face the Huskies at 7:05 p.m.

St. Cloud 6, Duluth 9

Conor Szczerba (Polk State) was 2-for-5 with three RBI, a run scored and his third home run for the Huskies. James Ramsay (South Florida) also shined, as he went 3-for-4 with two RBI, a run scored and a stolen base for Duluth. 

Battle Creek 1, La Crosse 5

Richard Prigatano (Long Beach State) was 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored for the Loggers. He also tallied his ninth double of the season. These two teams have an off day on Tuesday.  

Eau Claire 8, Wisconsin Rapids 6 (June 20, 2012 suspended game) 

This game was a continuance from a game that was suspended on June 20 due to rain. Nick Addison (UIC) was 4-for-5 in the respective game with six RBI and two runs scored for the Express. 

Eau Claire , Wisconsin Rapids  (7 innings) 

Pat Kelly (Nebraska) was 3-for-3 at the plate for the Rafters with four RBI and two runs scored. He also picked up his first home run of the season. The Express will host the Rafters on Tuesday at 6:35 p.m.

Lakeshore 5, Wisconsin 6

J.D. Davis (Cal State Fullerton) was 2-for-4 with four RBI and two runs scored to help the Woodchucks to the one-run victory. The Woodchucks and Chinooks will meet again on Tuesday at 6:35 p.m.

Madison 0, Green Bay 4

The Bullfrogs were led by Bryce Bellin (Minnesota State) who threw six shutout innings and allowed just one hit and struck out nine Madison batters. On Tuesday, the two teams will play each other again at 7:05 p.m.
