MADISON, Wis. (July 17, 2012) – Madison Mallards starting pitcher Bobby Poyner (Florida) earned the honor of Northwoods League Pitcher of the Night for Tuesday, July 17. 

Poyner threw seven shutout innings for the Mallards and allowed just one hit and walked none. He also struck out five Green Bay batters. He is now 2-0 on the season with an Earned Run Average of 1.29.

The Mallards won the game 16-4. The Mallards will travel to Wausau, Wis. to take on the Woodchucks on Wednesday for a 6:35 p.m. start.
