ROCHESTER, Minn. (August 8, 2012) – The Stingers lost on Wednesday and gave the Rox and Beetles a chance to gain a game in the North Division. The Stingers faced a tough test in Mankato, while the Beetles hosted the Rochester Honkers. 


With just four days remaining in the regular season, the North Division could come down to the very end. 

Willmar 5, Mankato 10

Chase Simpson (Oklahoma) went 3-for-5 with two RBI and three runs scored for the MoonDogs. Simpson also recorded his third home run of the season. This series will shift to Willmar on Thursday for a 7:05 p.m. start. 

Rochester 5, Alexandria 8

Ben Moore (Alabama) went 2-for-5 at the plate with four RBI and connected for his 15th home run of the season. The Beetles will host the Honkers again on Thursday for a first pitch time of 7:05 p.m. 

Duluth 3, Thunder Bay 13

Jerrick Suiter (TCU) went 2-for-4 with four RBI and his second home run of the season. The Huskies and Border Cats will meet again on Thursday for a 7:05 p.m. ET start. 

Waterloo 4, St. Cloud 9

Boo Vasquez (Pittsburgh) hit his third home run of the season as the Rox won their seventh straight. The first pitch for these two teams on Thursday is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. in St. Cloud

Green Bay 2, Eau Claire 7

Devin Moore (Indiana State) threw seven innings and allowed just one earned on three hits and struck out eight. The Express will host the Bullfrogs again on Thursday for a 6:35 p.m. start. 

Wisconsin 2, La Crosse 18

Richard Prigatano (Long Beach State) went 3-for-5 with five RBI and a run scored. He also hit his 10th home run of the year. The Loggers host Wisconsin again on Thursday at 7:05 p.m. 

Madison 4, Lakeshore 5

Charlie Markson (Notre Dame) hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 12th inning to drive in the winning run for the Chinooks. The Chinooks will host the Mallards at 6:35 p.m. on Thursday. 

Wisconsin Rapids 7, Battle Creek 0

Kyle Wormington (Valparaiso) earned his third win of the season as he threw six shutout innings and struck out three. The Bombers will host the Rafters again on Thursday at 7:05 p.m. ET.
