ROCHESTER, Minn. (August 12, 2012) – On the final day of the 2012 regular season, two games were cancelled due to poor playing conditions after weather affected the area. 

On Monday the 2012 Northwoods League playoffs will start as the Wisconsin Woodchucks will host the La Crosse Loggers at 6:35 p.m. and the Willmar Stingers will host the Mankato MoonDogs at 7:05 p.m.  

Mankato , Waterloo (Cancelled)

Rain prevented the Waterloo Bucks from playing their final scheduled game of the season on Sunday. The Bucks finished the 2012 season with an overall record of 34-35 in the North Division. The MoonDogs will travel to Willmar for game one of the playoffs on Monday at 7:05 p.m.

St. Cloud 0, Rochester 6

Reid Roper (Illinois) went 3-for-4 with four RBI and a run scored, including his sixth home run of the season. Both the Honkers and the Rox finish the 2012 season with an overall record of 29-41.

Thunder Bay , Willmar (Cancelled)

The game was cancelled due to unplayable conditions. The Border Cats finish 2012 with a 32-27 overall record. The Stingers will host the MoonDogs on Monday at 7:05 p.m. for the first round of the 2012 North Division playoffs. 

Alexandria 5, Duluth 4

Dallas Hannah (Meridian CC) went 2-for-4 at the dish with three RBI for the Beetles. Alexandria finishes 2012 with a 32-37 record and the Huskies finished 38-31. 

Eau Claire 9, Battle Creek 1 

Casey Gillaspie (Wichita State) went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored. He also connected for his 12th home run of the season. The Express finish 2012 with a 25-44 overall record and the Bombers with a 26-42 record. 

La Crosse 3, Green Bay 12

Alex Abrams (Furman) was 2-for-3 at the plate for the Bullfrogs as they picked up the win in their final game of the season. The Bullfrogs finish 2012 with a 34-36 overall record. The Loggers will travel to Wausau, Wis. for their first playoff game against the Woodchucks on Monday. First pitch is 7:05 p.m. 

Wisconsin 11, Madison 10

Brooks Braga (UW-La Crosse) went 2-for-4 with four RBI and three runs scored, including a grand slam. The Woodchucks end the regular season with a 43-27 record and will host the Loggers on Monday for game one of the South Divisional playoff series. Madison finishes 2012 by going 39-31 on the year. 

Lakeshore 3, Wisconsin Rapids 4

Cole Cefalu (UW-La Crosse) went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored to help the Rafters end their season on a winning note. The Rafters finished the season with a 26-42 overall record and the Chinooks finished their inaugural season by going 35-34.
